Summer level: about 410 (meaning .410 metres).
Good fly water: about 520 - 750. ( If the river is in flood, the level will be given as four figures, e.g. 1730) Ring again at an interval to check if the river is rising or falling/clearing.
The Ex-Council Salmon Water.
The Run: island situated halfway between the two Corwen Bridges: good any method water. Access - along path at side of cricket pitch (or use stile by playground) across fields, avoiding crops.
Above Vicarage - R5: This is situated below a meadow not available to club members, so access is along old railway, about 400 yards from the car park behind the Pavilion; suits all methods.
Bonwm: situated along old railway line below the Chain; present access along the old railway. (In future, access across the railway line at the gate below the Chain, parking on the A5 and then along the river bank).
Wharf: Situated opposite the lay-by on the A5 1 ¼ mile Corwen side of Llidiart-y-Parc; the lay-by is narrow so park in corner near its downstream end; cross road to footpath, when on river bank the water stretches upstream to opposite the end of the island. A bail and spin water.
County Boundary Water: not on the maps, off A5 towards Llangollen, below Old Toll House. Park roadside; follow footpath to river. Spin or bait best.
(All of above - view by arrangement.)
